For those of you keeping track...

...At approximately 1:50 am (December 31st) Beth says, "There might be a small chance that I'm having contractions." Gee thanks Beth. In fact, she contined to say she may have been having them all day, they just started bothering her now.

The doctor just called back to say, "...Sounds like it's time to come on in." Everyone is just full of knowledge....EXCEPT ME!

I do not know if I will be able to keep everyone up to date for the next several days, but I have a list of phone numbers and an e-mail list to distribute any further news!

We are waiting for the cavalry to keep Loren company while she's asleep. But as for us, our last minute preparations will have to begin!!

...Due Dates, Smue Dates

So, I suppose with 20 minutes left in the "official" due date I think it's safe to say it won't be today. Perhaps now is the time we should start to really do the home induction techniques we've been hearing from family and friends. They range from ethnic foods, bumpy car rides, calisthenics, and laxatives. I'm sure there are more and I really should research them as I don't want to miss out on the child tax credit or so I've been told many times!

So it's ta ta, for now. I will continue the updates as more information is available! Not much else to say but, good night and we hope you have a pleasant and safe new year's celebration!

Blood Pressure Back to Normal

Beth's blood pressure seems to be back to normal. Due date is still Friday. She has a normal appointment next Tuesday, January 2nd.

I can say it's a little frustrating not knowing when this little bugger will arrive! With Loren it was almost assured Beth would be induced once her blood pressure was dangerously high. Now it's not really an issue.

Also, demanding to be induced to ensure the child tax credit doesn't work. I would hope the doctors don't make decisions based on emotion either.

More updates as they happen! This show could start any time now!

UPDATE 2:30 pm
Oh, baby, please arrive in January
An MSNBC article about Pregnant Germans! An interesting story regarding government benefits. I suppose the same thinking for us, but opposite planning!

Some news, but still no baby!

So Beth had an appointment Tuesday. Still not any progress, however her blood pressure is up a little. The doctor said if she had progressed a little and had this blood pressure, she wouldn't hesitate to get this thing going. However, since there's nothing yet, she is going back today for a blood pressure check.

Otherwise, the doctor gave us the impression she wouldn't deliver until next week. So it looks as if we won't have our second daughter on our anniversary!

The picture included is from a 3D ultrasound the doctor's office did yesterday. You can make out a not so little face covered by a "thumb's up" which can only be a good sign! The picture scanned on a full size page, but I think this way she's easier to pick out! I still have trouble!

Merry Christmas...

...and Happy Holidays to all. I recently sent out a "test" e-mail to those I had e-mail addresses. I hope I have added correctly those I forgot. If not, you can always pass on the news as it comes and also pass on this blog address as well.

Tonight, we brought Loren to see Santa in downtown Crystal Lake. This was her second visit to the big guy and she was a very brave girl this time. When Santa asked her what she wanted she said, "Candy Canes." After he gave her a candy cane, he asked what else she wanted. "[Little] People." So hopefully she will get what she wants for Christmas!

Another Week, More Waiting

The exam today was fine. Still nothing brewing yet. There are still 10 days until the due date. The doctor also mentioned she thinks the baby will arrive after Christmas.

This is music to our ears as we would like to have just one more Christmas with just the three of us! I think Little Miss Only Child could have a few more days of ALL the attention!

Only 20 days to go, by the calander!
