Christmas 2007

Christmas 2007 was VERY busy!! On Saturday the 22nd, we went to Joe's parents' house to celebrate Christmas with them. We had delicious food and opened presents!! It was a fun time!!

Then on the 23rd we went to my parents house to celebrate with the "Popp" family. It was fun for all the kids to get together and play! At one point all the boy cousins were putting ice on the "girls"...well, the only really mobile girl was Loren, so she got a little bullied that evening! But that's ok!

On the 24th we went to Peggy Kinanne's to have a few drinks with our friends there! Loren got to sit at the bar and even bartend for a little bit too! It was fun! Then we went back to my parents and had our family presents where we got out pajamas and gifts!

Christmas morning was one of the best mornings I've ever had!! It was so wonderful to see Loren's face when she saw all her presents!! She had been asking Santa for a doll house and she knew it was there!! She got so excited opening presents and then playing with all her new toys!! She got some dress up clothes, coloring books, puzzles, games, and of course her doll house! Kaylynn got her jumping zebra which she LOVES and she got a doll stroller to push around and a few other toys and socks! The girls both got a train table which they're enjoying very much!

In the evening we went over to the Wood's house to celebrate christmas with the "Harmon's" (my mom's side). Loren had fun playing with Colleen and Grace and Shannon! It was nice for her to be able to play with some girls!!

It was a very long and busy holiday, but fun as well!!!

Kaylynn 11 months old

Kaylynn is now 11 months old! I can't believe she'll be turning 1 in just a few weeks!! I remember last year how VERY pregnant I was!! I'm looking forward to Kaylynn celebrating her first Christmas with the family! It should be fun! Then we'll probably just celebrate with the family on her actual birthday (since most people are out partying that day)! Then we'll have a birthday party for her on Feb. 23rd. I know it's almost 2 months after her birthday, but it's the next weekend that works out for everyone!!

This past month, Kaylynn has been a very busy girl! She enjoyed her first Thanksgiving dinner, which she enjoyed! She's also starting to let go and take a few steps on her own. I would still say it's "graceful falling", but the attempt is there! You can tell she really wants to start walking! I'm hoping by Christmas!

Kaylynn does do a few "tricks"! She waves hello and good-by! She also signs "milk" and puts her arms up when she's "all done"! And she recently started playing peek-a-boo! But instead of covering her eyes, she covers her ears and get this big goofy grin on her face!! It's very cute!

We put our Christams tree up a couple weeks ago and so far she has been good with it! She doesn't really touch it much. The same can't be said for the cats!

Turkey Day and Putting up the Tree!!

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to everyone! We had a very busy Turkey Day! We went to Joe's parents' house for an early dinner and had some delicious food!!! After that we went to my parents' house for a second thanksgiving dinner (mmm...two dinners)!!! There were 26 people at mom and dad's house (and it was all family)!!! We played a crazy game of spoons, which Katie dominated (I did come a close second)! There was also rummicube being played in the basement! Never boring with the "Harmon" family!! We didn't leave until after 10pm, so the girls were a little tired the next day!!!

Friday (the day after thanksgiving) we always put up our tree and decorations. We bought a new pre-lit tree this year, which is VERY nice!!! Now Loren is getting really excited for christmas!! It'll be a fun year with her, she is really into giving and receiving presents (especially receiving) and she understands Santa now!! It'll be a fun Christmas morning!!!!

Halloween

This year for Halloween we carved our pumpkins on Monday Oct. 29th (because Daddy had class on Tuesday and Wednesday). Loren liked to cut the pumpkin but wanted nothing to do with scooping the insides out! She said it was "icky"! Then Loren had her preschool party on the 30th and everyone got to dress up and they had a special snack!! Then on Halloween the girls and I went trick-or-treating with Joy and Addy and Ellie, Chan, Dave and baby Carter. It was lots of fun and Loren got a TON of candy! Then we had a yummy dinner of cheesy hot dogs and hamburgers with our neighbors! What a fun few days we had!

Kaylynn 10 months!

It has been 10 months since Kaylynn made her grand appearance into the world!! She has grown a lot in the past month! She got her first tooth on Monday Oct. 22 and she now is starting to let go of furniture to stand for a little bit by herself!! Maybe she'll be walking soon......

Kaylynn still waves at people to say HI and is still the most smiley baby I've ever seen! She just loves her big sister and enjoys playing with all of Loren's toys!

Loren's Birthday Party!

On Saturday October 27th we had Loren's 3rd Birthday party! Lots of family and friends came to celebrate! We had yummy appetizers and pizza with wings! There was a TON of food!!! Loren got LOTS of presents too, from clothes to make-up to The Wiggles DVD to games and puzzles!! It was a fun time for Loren!!

This was taken October 22, 2007 on our bed before the girls' bedtime. The girls were jumping on the bed and mommy thought since Daddy was at class, he would like to see this later! Now everyone gets to see it! Stay tuned for more videos, Mommy (and Daddy) now has the itch!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY LOREN!!!!

Loren turned 3 today! I can't believe it's been 3 years since she came into our lives!! I still remember going into the hospital to be induced! Loren's 3rd year of life has been full of excitement!! She has a memory that often surprises me! She has done so many new things this year, she learned to use the potty, went to school, went on "big kid" rides at carnivals, learned to dress herself, learned to ride and pedal her tricycle, made lots of new friends, and became a big sister!!

To celebrate Loren's birthday, she had a balloon waiting for her in her room when she woke up! She LOVES balloons (to the point where she's obsessed), so that was very exciting!!! She then had cat shaped chocolate chip pancakes!! After breakfast, we found her presents (I hid them to make it more fun for her)! She got some books and some shirts, the game memory, and a puzzle. At preschool they made her a crown and sang to her! She liked that!! Then she got to have a special nap in mommy and daddy's bed and watched a Tigger Movie (but she got too goofy and needed to go in her own room to actually sleep). For dinner we went to Chuck E. Cheese and had pizza and played games!! Afterwards we came home and had cake and ice cream!! I hope she enjoyed her birthday! She's now looking forward to her party on the 27th!

Misc. Loren stats...Loren weighs 34lbs. and is 39.5 inches tall! She is in the 95th percentile for both!! She's definitely a tall girl!
