Olympic Pool Egg Hunt

Today Loren, Kaylynn and Mommy went with Booma and Aunt Amy to Olympic Pool in Arlington Heights for their egg hunt! It was so much fun, Loren really enjoyed going in the pool (she is not afraid of the water)! She got 9 eggs with little prizes inside! After the egg hunt Loren and Kaylynn were able to play in the water for a while! It was a fun evening and I'm sure we'll do it again next year!

Saint Patrick's Day

Yesterday was St. Patrick's day! We went to Peggy Kinanne's for lunch then went back to my parents house (aka Booma and Boompa) for a party later that evening. It was a nice party, the Grandziel's (and Tim), Sullivan's, Klein's, Valentino's, Michalesko's and Wood's (with Colleen and Grace) were all there!! It was nice to have a few drinks with friends! The girls had fun playing with their cousins too. Loren and Colleen played well together and Grace and Kaylynn looked at each other (that's about all 4 and 2 month old babies can do)! Loren didn't go to bed until after 10pm and Kaylynn (the party girl) was up until everyone left around 1:30am! The next morning we went to brunch at Egg Harbor with Grandma Popp then shopped at Kohl's and got the girls Easter dresses! It was a fun weekend!! Here are a few pictures from the party:

Today the girls were sitting together on the couch! I can't believe how big they both are already! Loren is a wonderful big sister who loves Kaylynn! Here are a few pictures of them on the couch and Loren holding Kaylynn and holding her hand! What sweet girls we have!!

Kids Expo

Yesterday Loren and I went to the Chicago Kids Expo in Schaumburg with Grandma, Chan and Ellie, and Katie, Colleen and Grace! We had a ton of fun playing on a firetruck, petting goats and llamas and bunnies in the petting zoo, going down inflatable slides, playing in moonwalks, and getting candy, stickers and tattoos! Mommy had lots of fun hanging out with family and friends and getting attacked by a baby llama! Kaylynn was a very good girl too, she slept in the baby bjorn most of the time! Loren and Ellie - Playdate

Today Loren, Kaylynn and I went over to our friends, Chan and Ellie's house! We met them way back in the Fall when we first took a park district class together. Now, a few months later and more classes together, we've finally started to hang out! Ellie and Loren play really well together, there was plenty of giggling up in Ellie's room!! Ellie also enjoys playing with Kaylynn as she prepares to become a big sister in May when her little brother, Carter, is due! Here are a few pictures that Chan took of the girls playing (I hope this is the first of many pictures with our friends)!

Joe's 28th Birthday!

Today is Daddy's 28th Birthday! Yesterday we went to his parents' house pick up Loren, she stayed overnight at Grandma and Grandpa's on Saturday night! Apparently she talks in her sleep!! She got a decent sleep...not too sure about Grandma and Grandpa though!! But we enjoyed having some quality time with Kaylynn! While at Joe's parents' house we celebrated his birthday! Jeremy came over and we had a delicious dinner and then enjoyed some eclair cake!! Mmmm...it was soooo good!! Then Daddy opened his presents...he got a new laptop from his parents!! A VERY nice gift!!! Then we took our crabby girls home to bed!!

Then today Joe had to work :( But Mommy and Loren were busy making signs to put up all over the house!! We also made Daddy enchiladas for dinner!! After dinner we went to the library to see it (it had been renovated). Then we came home and enjoyed some cupcakes!!! We hope Daddy had a wonderful birthday!

Kaylynn 2 Months Old & Loren's Rearranged Room

The beginning of March means that Kaylynn is now 2 months old!! She is a great baby, smiles all the time, sleeps well, likes to be held...we just wish she would take a bottle! :) Yesterday we had her 2 month checkup and she weighs 11 pounds 13 ounces (75th percentile) and is 22.5 inches long (50th percentile)! So she's growing very nicely! Unfortunately she had to get 4 shots and didn't like that at all! But her big sister, Loren, held her hand and sold her "it's ok". Thursday (3/1), Loren decided she no longer could be contained to the lower bunk, so despite trying many different ways to keep Loren down, she is just a big monkey! Therefore, the beds were taken down and now Loren has a choice of two beds (her favorite is the "green" bed)! Here are some pictures of her rearranged room:
