Crystal Lake Beach

Today the girls and I went to the Crystal Lake Beach with our friend, Elaina! It was a little chilly, but still fun! Loren LOVED the water and Kaylynn loved watching her big sister! We had a nice lunch with yummy snacks and enjoyed playing in the sand and at the park! We hope to go again soon!

New Kitty!

On Saturday (6/23/07) we got a new kitty! Tigger has always had "cat roommates", and he just seemed so lonely without Riley, so we decided to get him a new playmate! While no cat will ever take the place of Riley, it's nice to have another set of paws around the house! She's a Calico cat and she's 3 months old (her birthday is 3/16/07). We still haven't figured out a name for her yet, we've just been calling her "Kitty".

Loren's Potty Trained & Kaylynn Sits!

Things are very exciting these days at the Attanaseo house...Loren is now POTTY TRAINED!!!! She still uses pull-ups at nap and bedtime, but it's so wonderful to have her going in the potty!!! It's been about 3 and a half weeks now, and so far hasn't had any accidents for the past 2 weeks! I finally decided one day that I was done! She knew how to go in the potty, but was choosing to go in her diaper. Now she proudly wears big girl underpants!! Although she still wants candy every time she goes on the potty! :)

Also, Kaylynn sits all by herself!!! She really enjoys the new views that sitting allows! She likes to watch Loren and play with her toys! Should be interesting when she starts crawling! Yikes!!

Trip to the Zoo!

On Tuesday (6/5/07) we decided to go to Brookfield Zoo to see some animals!! It was the perfect day to go, the weather was cooler (in the upper 60's) and overcast. Loren really enjoyed looking at all the different animals! She wanted to pet them all!! She said she liked the monkeys and the goats the best! We packed pb&j sandwiches and some chips and had a nice little picnic!! When it was time to go, the girls were passed out!!!! Loren didn't even wake up when I took her out of the stroller and into the car! What a fun day! Here are a few pictures from the zoo:

In Loving Memory

Yesterday, we had to put our female cat, Riley, to sleep. She had kidney failure. It was probably one of the worst things I've ever had to do. Even though she was afraid of strangers, she was a wonderful cat and family member. Tigger also misses his sister very much. We love her very much and hope she is in a better place.

Riley - we will miss you very much. We miss the way you made that brmrrrow sound when we'd come upstairs. We miss the way you'd run into a room and run right back out. We miss the way you'd play with sparkley balls and the way you used to play "catch" with ball when you were a kitten. We miss hearing your bell and collar clink the water bowl when you'd drink. We miss seeing you sneak into the bathroom to lick the shower after we were done. I miss finding you sleeping in hidden places. I miss the way you used to "belly show", it wasn't often, so I know it meant you were happy and content. And mostly Tigger and I miss the way you used to snuggle with us. Riley, I'm so sorry. I hope we gave you a good home. I love you and miss you so much!
