Daddy/Daughter Princess Date Night

On Friday 9/21/07 Joe and Loren went to the Little Village play place in AH for their Princess date night. Loren dressed up as her favorite princess, Cinderella! She looked so cute and even got to wear some of Mommy's makeup and jewerly for her "date"! At Little Village they got to decorate and eat cupcakes, got a keep-sake photo taken, did a little craft (princess hats), and played! Loren didn't want her date to end!

Here are a few pictures from Loren and Joe's "date":

Loren's Bee Sting!

Yesterday Loren got stung by a bee!! We were outside and it few around her head and got her right in the middle finger on her right hand! She cried for hours and it got a little swollen! She wouldn't let us put ice on it or anything. Poor girl! She wouldn't use her right hand at all and said it was too hard to eat dinner so we had to feed her! She walked around all evening with her right hand in the air!!

Today she woke up and it was all better!! She said that the "bee sting is gone"! So that's good! She survived and has regained the use of her right hand! :)

Indy Irish Fest

This weekend went down to Amy and Chris's with my parents to go to the Indy Irish fest. Friday night we saw the Makem Brothers and Brigid's Cross and Amy and Chris ran a 5K. Both bands did well and the girls enjoyed watching and dancing to the music!! It was a little chilly, but having a few blankets helped!

Saturday we had a good breakfast at Amy and Chris's and let the girls nap before heading back to the fest. This time Joe's cousin Beth and her husband Mike joined us. Beth is pregnant (due in Feb.) so it was nice to see her growing belly!! Again we watched the Makem Brothers and Brigid's Cross. The girls again enjoyed dancing and listening to the music. We did however have a little "incident". Dad and I got up to go to the bathroom while my mom, Amy, Joe, Chris and Joe’s cousin and her husband were there. Well, Loren had been giving Kaylynn a bottle and then decided she was done. I’m still going to the bathroom and while I’m in the port-a-potty my phone rings so I answer it and it’s Joe saying “is Loren with you” and I said “No, I’m going potty”. Well he hangs up. So I finish going and get back to our seats to find my sister crying, my mom running around like a crazy person saying Loren’s missing. We were all running around, dad went up and asked the Makem's to make an announcement so everyone could look for her, there were security guards looking for her, it was announced at ALL the stages at the fest about the little blond girl who was missing. She was gone for about 20 minutes when a security guard who happened to be by me got a call over his radio saying they think they found her in the port-a-potty. So Joe goes running over there and it was her. Thank GOD!!!! She had to go potty and knew where to go and what to do!! I have never been so scared in my life!!!!! I’m not exactly sure how she snuck away, but I think it was one of those things where everyone thought someone else was keeping an eye on her! There were 8 adults, yet none of us could watch her!! Now we know to communicate who is watching her!

After that chaos, mom decided to take the girls back to Amy's so we could enjoy the rest of the fest!! It was fun dancing to the music and being around family!!

Here are a few pictures from this weekend:

Loren's First Day of Preschool!!

Today Loren started her first day of 2 year old preschool at Learning Tree! Today it was just half the class with a parent (but they divided up the class by last name and it ended up just being us and Loren's friend, Ellie)!! So that was nice! Loren got to have a snack and played with the toys and Play-Doh. They also read a book and played outside!! The teachers said she will probably do just fine on her own next week! It's still half the class next week (without parents), then the entire class the week after (without parents)! So that will be the "real" test! But so far she enjoys school!!

Here are a few pictures from today:

Bradley Girls Get Together

Yesterday we had my Bradley friends over! Jenny and her husband Brian and their two kids, Kellen (3) and Natalie (16mos) were here from Gibson City. Stephanie and her husband, Nick, and their two kids, Gabriel (2.5) and Lucy (2mos) were here from Janesville, WI. And Traci and her boyfriend Pete came from Elgin and Kim and her boyfriend Harold were here as well! Our friend Alicia and her husband Shaun from St. Louis couldn't make it. We missed them, but made sure to call Alicia to let her know we were thinking of her! Everyone brought food to share, so we ate well and had a lot of fun catching-up and watching the kids play! Loren enjoyed hanging out with Gabriel, Kellen and Natalie, but Kaylynn slept most of the evening!! And all the adults enjoyed themselves! It was so nice to see good friends again!

Here are some pictures from the Bradley Girls get together:
