Kaylynn 10 months!

It has been 10 months since Kaylynn made her grand appearance into the world!! She has grown a lot in the past month! She got her first tooth on Monday Oct. 22 and she now is starting to let go of furniture to stand for a little bit by herself!! Maybe she'll be walking soon......

Kaylynn still waves at people to say HI and is still the most smiley baby I've ever seen! She just loves her big sister and enjoys playing with all of Loren's toys!

Here are a few Kaylynn pictures:

This was taken October 22, 2007 on our bed before the girls' bedtime. The girls were jumping on the bed and mommy thought since Daddy was at class, he would like to see this later! Now everyone gets to see it! Stay tuned for more videos, Mommy (and Daddy) now has the itch!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY LOREN!!!!

Loren turned 3 today! I can't believe it's been 3 years since she came into our lives!! I still remember going into the hospital to be induced! Loren's 3rd year of life has been full of excitement!! She has a memory that often surprises me! She has done so many new things this year, she learned to use the potty, went to school, went on "big kid" rides at carnivals, learned to dress herself, learned to ride and pedal her tricycle, made lots of new friends, and became a big sister!!

To celebrate Loren's birthday, she had a balloon waiting for her in her room when she woke up! She LOVES balloons (to the point where she's obsessed), so that was very exciting!!! She then had cat shaped chocolate chip pancakes!! After breakfast, we found her presents (I hid them to make it more fun for her)! She got some books and some shirts, the game memory, and a puzzle. At preschool they made her a crown and sang to her! She liked that!! Then she got to have a special nap in mommy and daddy's bed and watched a Tigger Movie (but she got too goofy and needed to go in her own room to actually sleep). For dinner we went to Chuck E. Cheese and had pizza and played games!! Afterwards we came home and had cake and ice cream!! I hope she enjoyed her birthday! She's now looking forward to her party on the 27th!

Misc. Loren stats...Loren weighs 34lbs. and is 39.5 inches tall! She is in the 95th percentile for both!! She's definitely a tall girl!

Here are a few pictures from Loren's birthday!!

Kaylynn's First Hair Cut!

Today we took Kaylynn to Hair Cuts 4 Kids to get Kaylynn's hair cut for the first time. We thought it was time for her to get rid of the "comb-over" look, and also to get the hair out of her eyes! She sat on my lap and they had a special drape with two holes (for Kaylynn's head and my head). She sat well and looked around, making it a little difficult to cut at times (that's why we had professionals do it)! It was amazing how much hair they cut off! I kind of miss her little toupee, but know that it'll grow better now!

Here are some pictures from Kaylynn's first hair cut:

This morning, hair all still there.

Apple Orchard 10/6/07

On Saturday we went with Tim and Elaina to an apple orchard in Woodstock. The girls and I have never been apple picking before and it was lots of fun!! It was SO hot out, upper 80's! Loren enjoyed picking apples and eating them! I think she ate 4 or more apples while we were there! Kaylynn enjoyed being pushed in the stroller by Tim!! After we filled our bag with lots of kinds of apples, we went to the petting zoo at the orchard. They had a few goats, a sheep, some chicken and roosters and some ducks! Loren enjoyed feeding the animals and didn't want to leave!! I hope we can make this an annual tradition!

Here are some pictures from the apple orchard:

Kaylynn 9 months old

It's hard to believe that Kaylynn is already 9 months old!! Wow!! This year is going very fast!! She had her 9 month checkup on Monday 10/1 and she weighed 18lbs exactly (50th percentile) and was 27.5 inches long (also 50th percentile). She's growing nicely!! The doctor was impressed with how well she stands and cruises and everything!! She likes to eat now too, she eats baby food still, along with noodles (her favorite) and peas and cheerios and puffs and baby cookies and almost anything she can get her hands on! She also still nurses 4-5 times a day. She still has no teeth though (which I don't mind)!! She's a very smiley girl who wants to do whatever her big sister is doing!!!

While at the appointment, both girls got their flu shot. Loren was very excited to get a shot (she hasn't had one since she was 18 months old, so she doesn't really remember them), and when we play with her doctor kit...shots are no big deal! So when the nurse came in with the shots, Loren wanted to go first and was very excited...until...the nurse put the needle in her arm!!! She yelled out "OUCH!!!" and started crying!!! I felt bad for her! She got a purple sticker and wouldn't move her arm for a good 2-3 hours after that!! Kaylynn didn't even flinch at the shot!!

I'm getting the girls' pictures taken on Wednesday, so look for lots more pictures in the coming weeks!

We also have a big birthday this month. Loren turns 3 on the 18th and we're having her party on the 27th! Should be fun!!!
