A mother's identity....

A week or two ago I was talking to Loren about people's first and last names (like Booma is Debbie Popp and so on). I told her that before I married Daddy that my name was Beth Popp. She then says to me with a big smile, "and now you're Mommy Attanaseo!" I guess she's right!

Easter 2009

Easter weekend started on Friday when we all colored our eggs!! The girls were excited ALL day about coloring their eggs!! We colored 24 of them (because mommy was going to make deviled eggs for Easter). They had a lot of fun and didn't make a mess!! Easter morning, the girls were both up really early! Loren was just so excited to see what was in her basket and to find all the hidden eggs!!! They came running downstairs and immediately started looking for the eggs!! They were both really into it, until Loren found her basket! Kaylynn wanted all the things in Loren's basket, so luckily Kaylynn found hers next! After that all the really wanted was to play with the things in their baskets and eat the treats (Kaylynn just wanted the treats)!!

After some playing and a breakfast of donuts, we went to the Popp house for a delicious brunch with the "Harmon" family. Booma had an egg hung for all the kids, which was fun!! The kids all enjoyed playing together!! It was another fun family event!!

Baby #3!

We are all excited to announce that the Attanaseo family will be growing!! Baby #3 is on the way, with an EDD of 10/25/09!

Here's the story so far:
On Monday February 16th I took a home test and it came back positive right away, nice and dark!!! I called the doctor office on Tuesday the 17th and they wanted me to come in for blood work to test my hormone levels (since I had the loss in October). They then had me come in on Thursday and Saturday for more blood work. Everything looked good!! Here is what the blood work showed on each day:

Tuesday 2/18 - HCG 400's (and progesterone 23)
Thursday 2/20 - HCG 1800's
Saturday 2/22 - HCG 4000's
They then said I needed to schedule an appointment for the next week for an ultrasound!

Starting at about 6 weeks 3 days, I started to feel icky. It progressively got worse each day. On 3/11 I was 7 weeks 3 days and felt very unpleasant. The evenings are really the worst time. From about 5:30 until I go to sleep I am unsure if I will be able to keep my dinner down. Not fun times!

On Friday 3/6/09 (at 6 weeks 5 days) I had my first appointment and ultrasound. I got to see a little tiny heart beating at a rate of 128 beats/min. Very nice to see!!! Dr. McCool (the same one who did my laproscopic surgery and d&c back in October) said things look good and I go back in 3 weeks for another ultrasound. Yay!! They also confirmed the due date of 10/25/09

On Saturday 3/7/09 we told my Grandma Popp that we're expecting again. She responded "That's nice." and started talking about something else!! She's funny!!! Then Joe and I went out to dinner to Ruth's Chris to celebrate Joe's 30th birthday. I was able to eat plenty of food, but certainly did not feel well that night!!! Oh well, it was still good steak! :)

Week 8 had it's ups and downs. I had a few days of feeling really good (like St. Patty's day), but then the icky feelings would come back, and often worse! This week we told lots of people our "news". Joy/Will, the Herrrmann's, Ryanne, the entire AH group and Grandma Harmon and Darah Landwehr. All are very excited for us!!!

I went to the doctor on Friday 3/27 and had another ultrasound! Yay!! Joe was even able to come and see his 3rd baby! Everything was looking good!! I was 9 weeks 5 days and baby was measuring at 10 weeks 1 day. We got to see him/her moving their little arms! So cute! Baby had a heart rate of 166, so very good!

Then, yesterday, Saturday 4/4 I had just left for a girls weekend in Peoria when I was rear-ended. Enough to jolt me pretty good and dent the Honda's bumper. My doctor wanted me to come in for an ultrasound just to make sure everything was ok. And little #3 was doing just fine! My mom came with me to the doctor and she got to see her third grandbaby moving around a little!! The heart rate was 164, so again very good! My blood pressure was up a bit (not surprising), but went down after laying on my left side!! Hopefully that will be all the drama for the rest of the pregnancy! I go back to the doctor on May 1st!

So, that's what's been going on here!! I'm still feeling pretty icky, especially in the evenings. Today 4/5 I'm 11 weeks, so I'm hoping in the next week or so I'll start to feel better again. This has been a very rough pregnancy so far!! We just told the girls last week that they will have a baby brother or sister. Loren was excited, but said she only wants a sister, no boys! Kaylynn doesn't really seem to get it, or care!

Here are the ultrasound pictures I already scanned (I have another one to scan from yesterday, I'll post that once I scan it):

#3 at 9 weeks 5 days

Olympic Pool Egg Hunt

On Friday April 3rd, we took the girls to Olympic pool for their annual egg hunt!! The groups are divided up by age (2-4 and 5-7), so the girls went at the same time!! They LOVED getting the eggs and the little candy and treats inside!! Loren was able to get a lot of eggs and Daddy helped Kaylynn get a few eggs too!! Afterward they got to stay and swim, which they really enjoyed!! These girls just love the water!! Loren was even able to go down a big slide by herself!! Very impressive!!

Here are just a couple pictures from the egg hunt:

The girls waiting for them to say "go" to get the eggs!! Also, notice the yellow basket in the water, Kaylynn decided to let her basket float out to sea! :)
