32 weeks

Today 8/31/09 I had my 32 week appointment and ultrasound. They wanted to see how big this kid is getting since I keep measuring so far ahead. They estimate her at over 5 pounds already (83rd percentile). Most babies gain about a half pound a week from now until the end...so that puts this to be a pretty big baby!! We'll see what happens!! She also is head down now, she'd been breech for a while. Her heart rate was 164, my blood pressure was 120/80 and I weigh 157lbs. now. All are normal! Also the fluid amount around baby is all normal (apparently they worry about fluid levels when the baby is so big)! I go back again in 2 weeks for a normal 34 week appointment.

The baby gets the hiccups a few times a day (as a matter of fact she has them right now)! Loren finds this hilarious to feel!! Kaylynn also finds it amusing, but I think it's only because Loren is laughing so hard when it happens!!

Aside from the obvious soreness and discomforts, I'm feeling alright. I do kind of wish I could sleep more though. I wake up a lot at night, which is frustrating!! We also still do not have a name for baby girl 3. We'll figure it out eventually!

Here are the ultrasound pictures from today as well as a picture Loren took of me this morning (she has turned my doctor appointments into a routine of taking my belly picture, which is nice because it's good to document the growing tummy)!

Grandma's 90th B-day Party

On Saturday August 22nd, the ENTIRE Popp family got together to celebrate Grandma's 90th birthday (even though it's not until December, it's just easier to get us all together in the summer). There were 37 "Popp's" at my parent's house!! It was fun to see all the kids playing and interacting together, even though they don't get to see each other very often! It was also nice to get to see cousins we don't see often!! There was a ton of food and good conversation!! Always a good time with the Popp Family!

Here are a few Popp pictures:

29 weeks

Today (8/10/09) I had another OB appointment. Everything looks good, my blood pressure was 110/70, baby's heart rate was 156 and I only gained 1 lb., which puts me up to 153. I'm still measuring pretty big at 32 centimeters. So they will do an ultrasound at my next appointment (in 3 weeks) to see how big this kid is getting and to make sure fluid levels are good and everything. She referred me to a cardiologist for my "dizzy spells" that last all day but I'm gonna wait and see if they happen again before I go.

I also apparently have a stress fracture or pulled ligament in my foot. Went to the treatment center after my appointment and got x-rayed and now am the proud owner of an awesome big shoe! My foot REALLY hurts, I can't believe how uncomfortable it is! The doctor said that the normal things that heal this quickly, I can't do (rest, stronger pain meds, and even crutches), so it'll probably take a little bit to get better.

It's weird, I looked at my little "ticker" on the side of the blog today and it says only "76 days to go"! That's just 2 1/2 months! Kinda makes me realize how quickly this little one could be here! Yikes!!!

Loren took another picture of my "belly" (she likes to do this and Kaylynn likes to get in the pictures)!! I guess it's a good way to keep track of the growing tummy from the view of a 4 year old! Here is the picture Loren took:

Sheboygan, WI

Friday 8/7/09 we packed up the van and drove up to Sheboygan, WI to stay at a place called Blue Harbor. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get there (it's about an hour north of Milwaukee). We met my cousin, Jackie, her husband and 4 kids up there. They had rented a beautiful 4 bedroom "villa" right on Lake Michigan! We got up there around 8:30, so after a little time for the kids to play and interact with each other, we put pajamas on and went to bed. That night it stormed all night long with some good thunder booms!! The next morning it was very foggy, but we went to the indoor water park as soon as it opened at 9am! The kids had a BLAST there! Loren could go down all the slides herself and Kaylynn could go down most of them herself. Loren needed help carrying the tubes up to the tube slides but could go down herself. Kaylynn could go down all the body slides herself, and went down the tube slides with Daddy!!

Around noon we went back to the condo for lunch. By then the fog had lifted a bit and the kids could all go out to the beach and play in the sand and freezing cold water! They didn't care though, they thought it was GREAT fun!!! After that we attempted to take a nap, but the kids had other ideas! We went back to the water park around 4ish and played for another hour and a half or so, this is where Kaylynn decided to nap! Then went back to the condo to change for dinner. The kids were all getting a little crabby, so dinner was interesting. Despite horrible service and probably at least one or two kids melting-down at any given time, the food was pretty good!! After dinner we went back to the condo, gave all the kids a bath/shower and they went to their various rooms for a movie and bed. Loren fell right to sleep, Kaylynn (after getting her beauty rest at the water park) was up until almost midnight!!

Sunday was a much nicer day! We woke up and played in the condo a little bit before going down to the beach and then water park. We went back to the condo around noon for lunch and then headed home around 2.

The weekend was a lot of fun! It was so nice for the kids to all play! They are various ages (Miller - 8, Grant - 6, Cole - 3, Kate - 2 and Loren - 4, Kaylynn - 2) and they would play with each other in various groups! These "cousins" don't get to see each other often, so there really wasn't much fighting between them! It was interesting to see how much Kaylynn and Kate looked alike! We kept mixing them up all weekend!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend:
