Eryn's first steps

Eryn decided to take a few steps the other day (Thursday November 12th). She's been cruising for SO long, it was about time she took steps! It's more like graceful falling, but steps just the same. I was able to take a few videos of her trying to walk.

Loren's 6th Birthday Party

Loren turned 6 on Oct 18th, but we waited to have her party until November 5th. Loren wanted to have a pajama party, so all the kids (14 of them to be exact) came in their pajamas and brought sleeping bags and pillows. We served dinner (hot dogs and chips), then the kids played games (hot potato, freeze dance, pin the heart on Loren). The kids also got to decorate a pillow case to take home (we had taken a picture of the entire group and then printed it out and ironed it onto pillow cases that they could decorate). Each kid also got to decorate a cupcake of their own for dessert. Lastly Loren opened her presents while they laid in their sleeping bags and watch a movie. It was a crazy but fun party!!

Halloween 2010

Loren and Kaylynn decided months ago what they wanted to be for Halloween. Loren wanted to be a witch with purple hair (luckily I was able to convince her to wear a wig instead of coloring her hair purple) and Kaylynn wanted to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and Eryn wanted to be whatever Mommy decided to put her in (she had a choice of many costumes thanks to her sisters and other hand me downs)!

The celebration started Wednesday October 27th at Kaylynn's dance class. They got to wear their costumes and had a little parade and put on a performance for the parents. Kaylynn also had a Halloween party at speech that day too!

The celebration continues on Friday the 29th. First we went to our health club for their childcare costume parade. After that we went to Daddy's work for their Halloween lunch party. Next we took Loren to school and watched her walk in the school parade. After school we went downtown CL to trick or treat at the businesses down there. Then that evening we carved our pumpkins! It was a VERY busy day but lots of fun!

On actual Halloween day Loren and Kaylynn went to their friend, Ellie's costume birthday party then came home to trick or treat. They trick or treated for over 2 hours and got a TON of candy!! Afterwards we went next door for their annual chili dinner!

Lions and Tigers and Bears...

Sunday October 24th we decided to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather and take the girls to the zoo! We packed up a lunch and drove down to Brookfield! After eating and playing at the park, we went into the children's zoo area and looked at the various animals there, then went in a corn maze that was set up, then we went to the dolphin show! All the girls really enjoyed seeing the dolphins!! After that we went to see the new bear exhibit. We walked around the rest of the zoo, saw some giraffes (who were running around playing), zebras, kangaroos and other zoo animals. The girls had a lot of fun at the zoo in October!

They had a free scarecrow making area in the children's zoo.

Eryn REALLY liked the dolphins!

The "big girls" wanted to sit by themselves a few rows in front of us.

Giraffes being silly! And this is when Eryn gave in to her sleepiness!

Eryn's Birthday Party

Saturday October 16th we had Eryn's 1st birthday party! We decided to just do it at the house, and thank goodness it was nice outside since we had almost 50 people here! Eryn loved spending time with all her family and friends! The "big" kids got to play with a pinata (that Loren, Kaylynn and I made ourselves) and they played "Pin the crown on Eryn" and they jumped on our neighbor's trampoline! They all seemed to have a great time! Eryn also got some very nice gifts!! She is very lucky to have so many friends and family who love her so much!!!

Here are just a few pictures I took from the party. My friends did the photography for the party, so I will post her pictures soon!!

Our pinata (it kinda looked like an Easter egg)!

Eryn is 1!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is Eryn's first birthday!!! This year has gone by SO fast! We had her one year physical this morning and here are her stats:

Weight: 19lbs 10oz (27%)
Height: 28.5in (32%)
Head Circ: 47.0cm (93%)

So apparently this is proof she does have a very big head! She also got 4 vaccines along with a finger prick to test for anemia. She was NOT happy about the shots (although she didn't cry until the last one) and I thought she may kill Dr. Tjaden with her evil eye when he pricked her finger, but after a few minutes her was her friend again!

We didn't do much on her birthday, we took Kaylynn to school, Loren to school and Loren to soccer practice. After Loren's soccer we went to Red Robbin where the girls all got balloons, which Eryn LOVED!! She was squeeling with delight while holding the balloon and showed it to everyone who walked by! She also got sung to and had an ice cream sundae! She greatly enjoyed that!!!! Afterwards we came home, had a bath and put our birthday girl to bed!

It brings tears to my eyes to think how much she's changed....

We are having her party on saturday, so many more pictures to come!

Eryn's 1 year pictures

These turned out SO cute! I just had to share them all!!
