Misc. January Pictures

Here are just a few random pictures from January:

This is Whiskers, Loren preschool class has this stuffed animal and everyone took a turn to bring him home. When we had him, she played dress up with him, took him everywhere, and even slept with him!

Whiskers at story time at the library. Carter is in Loren's class too! Also, the girls are wearing their "home depot" aprons because they did "pocket-pocket" at story time!

Daddy brushing Loren's hair after a bath!

Dress-up tea party!

They wanted their hair in towels like mommy!

Whiskers even got to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Loren "reading" to Kaylynn's class

At the preschool where Loren and Kaylynn attend, they have a "mystery reader" where you can sign up to surprise your child's class and read them a book. Loren really wanted to do this in Kaylynn's class, so she practiced and practiced until she memorized Brown Bear!! Today was the day that she got to go in and read to Kaylynn's class. Loren was very excited to do this and Kaylynn was also excited to have Loren read to her friends!!

Below is the video of Loren "reading":

Eryn has giggled randomly over the past couple months, but just this week she started laughing at more and more things!! She finds Daddy and her sisters to be the funniest people alive!!

Eryn 3 months old

Yesterday Eryn officially turned 3 months old!! She doesn't really do any "new" tricks or anything yet! She started "sitting" in her bumbo seat, which she greatly enjoys! Nice to see the world, not just ceilings and fans! She's still super smiley, especially at her sisters and any little kids. She giggles every once and a while, but not too often! I have yet to catch it on video! She also loves her activity mat! She'll bat at the birds and kick her legs like crazy! It's really cute!

She had been sleeping really well until the new year...then she decided she wanted to stay up until all hours of the night! Not sure if it was all the craziness over the holidays or what. There were a few days where I couldn't get her down until after 2am! Yikes!! Now it's usually around 10:30 or so, sometimes it's still closer to midnight before she gets to sleep. Then she'll sleep for about 6 hours and wake up to eat, and if there's still time, she'll go back to sleep until Loren and Kaylynn wake up. She still likes to nurse to go to sleep, which isn't ideal, but we'll have her cry it out in about a month or so. It's also really hard to get her onto a good napping schedule with all the running around we do with the "big" girls! Poor Eryn is always in her car seat!!

Here are a few pictures of Eryn's 3rd month of life:

Kaylynn's 3rd Birthday!!!!!

I seriously can't believe Kaylynn is 3 already!!! She is growing up waaay too fast!! She has had a busy year...she started doing gymnastics classes, first with mommy or daddy and then on her own! She started dance class, preschool, and speech!! Her speech is definitely improving, people are able to understand at least 50% of what she says now! So that's good! She continues to do speech through the school district twice a week for an hour!

We had Kaylynn's 3 year physical today and she is growing! She is 36.5 inches tall (about 40th percentile), which was a 2 1/2 inch growth from last year. Her weight is only 26lbs 4oz (about 9th percentile) and that was only a 1lb gain from last year. Her BMI is 13.85 (3.3%) and her blood pressure was 80/50! She's definitely on the smaller side, but she's growing!

Her pediatrician also wanted to have her blood drawn to test her for diabetes because of her excessive drinking. I have a feeling it'll be normal and that her drinking is just habit, but I'm glad the doctor is checking to make sure. She got one vaccine today, Hep A (I think), and she didn't cry at all! She didn't cry when we got her blood drawn either! She's sooo tough!
(*Update - her blood work came back normal, her excessive drinking is habitual and nothing medical! Phew!!)

For Kaylynn's birthday we went to Monkey Joe's (an inflatable jump place) with our friends, the Kaltenbach's, where they also did a "countdown to noon" for new years eve! For dinner we went to Chuck E Cheese. She seemed to have a very fun birthday!! Then we had Grandma/Grandpa, GG and Booma/Boompa over for pizza and cake on New Year's day!

Here are some pictures from Kaylynn's birthday:

"Cheers"!!

Kaylynn (with the pink pants) climbing up the big slide...
it's crazy because 6 months ago she needed a little help to do that!
