Eryn 9 months

This year is going waaaay too fast! My baby is already 9 months old! She had her 9 month check up today and here are her current "stats":
Length - 27 3/4 inches (58%)
Weight - 17lbs 3oz (21%)
Head Circ. - 45cm (79%)

Again, Dr. Tjaden said she's growing nicely and she looks great! Still has some dry skin from the eczema, but it's better than the last time we were there!

Eryn does SO many tricks now! Here are a few:

*She crawls very fast
*She pulls herself to standing (just started doing this a couple days ago)
*She waves "HI"
*She give high-5
*She can put her arms up to do "sooo big"!
*She loves to play and explore! She especially loves wires and cords of any kind!
*She enjoys to watch her big sisters, especially Kaylynn.
*She is growing very attached to her blankie and sleeps with it every night.
*She eats more and more finger foods including peas, carrots, rice, mashed potatoes, turkey, green beans, and spaghetti.
*She's still a "mommy's girl" and lights up when Mommy walks into the room!
*She says "da da da" but we think she's actually talking to Mommy.
*She has 2 teeth (her bottom 2). One came in just after the 4th of July and the other came in around the 13th.
*She sleeps well at night, at least 8 hours usually before needing to eat then will sleep another 3-4 hours. She also takes 2 good naps during the day too (unless we're out and about with the big ones)!
*She likes her bath, but doesn't really care for the pool unless she's being held by mommy.
*She HATES the grass!!

Drive-In

Thursday July 8th Joe and I took the girls to the McHenry drive in movie theater to see Toy Story 3! We had been wanting to see the movie and figured the drive-in would be the best place! We went and got a bunch of candy, popped popcorn, had our chairs, blankets and bug spray with us! It was pretty warm so the bugs were pretty bad, but we hung out in the back of the van most of the time, and when it got really warm we turned the car on with the air! Loren really liked the movie and the whole drive-in experience! Kaylynn liked it too, but definitely got tired towards the end! And Eryn was pretty crabby during the second half of the movie, but finally fell asleep!

Cousins!!

Late Sunday night 6/27/10 my sister called me and told me that her water broke and they were going to the hospital to have the babies! I was SO excited I couldn't sleep at all!!! Finally at 1:00 am (eastern time) they were born! Abigail (Abby) Grace was 6lbs 4oz and Lillian (Lily) Elizabeth was 5lbs 13oz and both were 19 inches long! I can't begin to tell you how excited I was to finally be an aunt!!

Loren, my mom and I took a road trip to Indy on July 4th to see the babies! We didn't tell Loren where we were going and she was SO excited when we pulled into the driveway!! She wouldn't let the babies go the entire time we were there! I seriously think she had at least one of the babies in her arms every second she was awake!

A few days later, July 9th-11th Joe, the three girls and I all took a trip to Indy to see the babies (and Amy and Chris too)! Kaylynn and Eryn got to meet their new cousins and Joe got to meet his nieces! It was cute to see him holding the tiny little babies!

4th of July

For the second year in a row we went to Arlington Park on the 3rd for the racing and fireworks! As always we brought a ton of food and the kids had a blast! My parents, the Klein's, the Grandziel's, the Bill Popp's and the Kaltenbach's all came too! It was fun, the kids enjoyed watching the horses race and they made bead necklaces and colored between races! And once again, the fireworks were one of the best I've ever seen!

The 4th of July I went to my sister's...there's another blog entry on that! :)

July 5th we went to the CL fireworks! We watched them from the local middle school again like we have for the past few years! Our neighbors Joy/Will and Jim/Julie and their daughter Addy came too. This time Loren and Kaylynn fell asleep during the fireworks! Loren was actually asleep in the grass! I couldn't believe it!
