Dance Recital 2011

It's that time of year again...Dance Recital time!!! The girls' dance studio always puts on a good performance!! This was Loren's 3rd recital and Kaylynn's 2nd. Loren was SO very excited for the recital! Kaylynn, however, got sick of dancing back in March, so she had to be bribed to perform in the recital! They both worked hard, did a wonderful job and made me very proud!

This year Kaylynn danced to Let's Dance by Miley Cyrus and Loren danced to Do You Believe in Magic! Both were fun songs to dance to!!

After the recital, we all went out to Red Robbin for some delicious food and fun balloons (or as Eryn would say "boo-waaas"!!)

Last day of Kindergarten....

Loren's last day of Kindergarten was June 3rd. It was a bitter-sweet day...so proud at all she learned and accomplished this year (she can completely read on her own, can do addition and subtraction, knows more science and ocean facts than I do, and has made some "bff's")! But it's also sad because, since we are moving, she has to switch schools. We really liked the school she was at, the teachers are all great and we've made some really good friends there too. But, we are also looking forward to starting new at a different school and making new friends!!

At the Kindergarten "graduation" they walked in to pomp and circumstance (SO cute) and wore little paper caps!!! They sang a song and got their diplomas!! Then we took some pictures with friends before leaving for the last time..sniff, sniff!

After graduation, we walked home and put our swim suits on then headed to the pool to enjoy the hot weather!!! Fun way to celebrate a graduation!!

Munchkin...

On March 6, 2011 we found out that we are expecting #4 (who our doctor named "Munchkin"). This was a big surprise for us since we have our house on the market and are trying to move and such. Yes, we wanted a 4th....just not quite yet! But we are happy to be blessed with another baby this fall!

Facts so far...

Due date: November 8, 2011

Sickness: Started even before I took the pregnancy test (which is why I decided to take one)

Heart rate: at 8 weeks 160's, at 12 weeks 170's

So, I was feeling pretty sick very quickly (and even today at 12 weeks, I'm still feeling sick), so the doctor prescribed me zofran to help with the nausea....especially since after seeing me get sick a few times, Loren came into the bathroom crying with the phone asking if she needed to call 911 emergency for me! Awww!! The meds helped take the "edge off" but I still felt pretty sick. Plus it has some other unpleasant side-effects....so I'm trying not to take it too much. My blood pressure has also already started to rise. They want me to see a high risk specialist, which I have yet to make an appointment for (I will do that eventually...)

Loren and Kaylynn are excited about having a new baby brother or sister (Loren said she ONLY wants a brother, she's sick of girls)...Kaylynn doesn't care what it is and Eryn will probably be jealous of the baby because she is jealous when I am hugging or holding anyone other than her!

So, that's the story of Munchkin so far....any thoughts on boy or girl?!? We have 2 months to guess! :)

Eryn turned 18 months a few days ago! We had her 18 month check up, but I lost the piece of paper with her stats on it! Oops! I do remember she weighed about 27lbs and her head circumference was still in the 90th percentile!

A few things about Eryn...

*She LOVES trucks, especially trucks that are doing construction

*She LOVES animals...any kind

*She says MA and Ut-oh, but that's it...she does sign milk, all done, more, apple, cheese,

*She could play with balloons for hours

*She doesn't care to be left at child care at the gym, but is always happy and playing when I pick her up

*She still likes food, but doesn't really have the patience to sit and eat like she used to

*She could play outside all day...she especially likes to push her doll stroller up and down the sidewalk and go in her swing

*She likes to play ring-around-the-rosie

*She'll sit and watch Sesame Street for a while

*She LOVE LOVE LOVES to dance!!

*She still has her blankie and sucks her middle fingers

Eryn at 16 months

Eryn is a VERY busy girl these days! She is into EVERYTHING! And does NOT like to sit still for very long!!! If she wants something she will yell "MAAA" until she gets it!!! She started climbing on the dining room table about a month ago, and that has become extremely annoying!! We can't leave anything on the table or else she will get it!!

She doesn't really say any words yet! I thought she said "plow" once, but has never said it again! She still sleeps really well and takes 2 shorter naps usually (sometimes only one if our schedule doesn't work out for 2). She likes shoes, books, stuffed animals, dolls, "playing" wii with her sisters, balloons, playing chase, and putting the dishes away from the dish washer!! She also still sucks her middle fingers on her left hand and LOVES her blankie(s)!!

Loren lost a tooth

Loren FINALLY lost her first tooth yesterday (2/21/11)!! It was her bottom right one! She was SO excited! It's been on the verge of falling out for a good week now! Then at 4am she came into my room announcing that her tooth finally fell out!!! It was too late for the tooth fairy to come that night, so she put it under her pillow last night instead! The tooth fairy left her $5, a lollipop and she left behind some of her sprinkles!! Oohh!!!

Yikes....

So, it's been a while since I've updated the blog!!! I can't believe how busy we've been! The holidays were crazy, as usual! Then just after the new year we put out house on the market. It's been slow and we've lowered the price a bit, but still nothing. It's very emotionally exhausting!

Here are a few updates on the kids:

Loren is LOVING Kindergarten!! She has made a bunch of friends and is able to read chapter books!! Her favorite are the Junie B Jones books. She still does dance and had been doing swim lessons, but I took the session off to get things situated with the house. Loren was told at the dentist a month ago that she has 2 slightly loose teeth (her bottom 2). She was SO excited about that. But it'll still be a while before they fall out.

Kaylynn also loves school and speech. She is still VERY shy! She also does dance. She asks me every day "where are we going today", so she does not like to be cooped up inside the house!! She's recognizing most of her letters too!

Eryn is now a runner! She goes up and down the stairs herself (so no more gate...yay)!! She LOVES anything that is electronic (mommy's phone, computers). She also loves toys that "do" something (zhu zhu pets, cars, trains). She has 4 front teeth, 2 bottom teeth and 2 top molars with one, maybe 2 bottom molars coming in. She's still a great eater and sleeps well too (when given the chance).

It's definitely been a crazy winter!! After the 18 inches of snow yesterday...I'm definitely ready for spring! I also promise to try to update more often! :)
