April 2007

April has been a very busy month! Between Easter, play dates, illnesses, going to various parks, and birthday parties, we've been out and about a ton! A few weeks ago I came down with a sinus infection, ear infection and tonsillitis (I was a mess)! Then the girls got the sinus infection too, so for a while there Joe was the only healthy one in the family!! We're finally getting over all that now!

Loren also had a special weekend with both her Grandparents. She slept over at Booma and Boompa's and got to go to the Kohl's Children's museum in Glenview. Then she went to Gramma and Grampa's house for another sleep over and played at a few different parks and had lots of fun!! It was nice for us to have some time with only one child and give Kaylynn more attention!! It's true what they say...two kids makes one kids feel like none! :)

Last weekend Joe's friend, Tony, (also Loren's Godfather) came over for dinner. It was nice to see him since he'd been working in NY for the past 6 months! Also, we went to Logan's 3rd birthday party (Logan was in Loren's park district class). They had a clown and balloon animals and everything!! I learned that birthday parties with both kids require both parents! :) We have another birthday party for our neighbor Addy this weekend! Loren has become a very popular girl!

Easter 2007

We had a very busy Easter weekend! Friday Loren colored the eggs (Kaylynn wasn't really "into" it!)! But Loren really enjoyed it! Then Saturday morning we went out into the freezing cold with Loren's friend Ellie and her parents (Chan and Dave) to the Crystal Lake egg hunt! Luckily our neighbor watched Kaylynn so she didn't have to go out in the cold! Loren found about 12 eggs and really got into the whole egg hunting thing! She especially liked to open them and see what was inside (candy)!! Saturday night, Mommy and Daddy went bowling (with Kaylynn) while Grandma and Grandpa watched Loren. They put out carrots for the Easter bunny and everything!! Loren was very excited Sunday morning when she saw the bunny had come! She was especially interested in how the bunny ate the carrots!! It's interesting to see how a 2 year old's mind works! Then she saw her basket and the tricycle that the bunny brought her!! She was very excited!! She, again, enjoyed looking for the eggs at the house!! After finding all the eggs and a quick breakfast (of mostly candy) we were off to church. Then we went to the "Attanaseo" family Easter at Joe's parent's house for a couple hours before going to Skokie to celebrate with my side. It was a busy day, but nice to see lots of family! Here are just a few pictures:

Pictures

Last week I had the girls' Easter pictures taken and they turned out GREAT! It was a pretty amusing experience with some lessons learned...don't potty train when you plan to get pictures taken, silky dresses are slippery, don't get pictures taken during spring break, and make sure your children don't steal things from the store! But at least the pictures looked good! :) Here they are:
