Attanaseo Family: 23.5 weeks...

So, yesterday (6/30/09) I had another OB appointment. The girls came with me and the doctor office was running a bit behind. The girls were really good waiting in the waiting room, playing "I-spy" and "Simon Says". Then we finally got called into the room! Phew! :) I gained about 5lb.s, so up to 146 now. Blood pressure was good at 120/80 and the baby's heart rate was 152. All normal! Then the doctor came in and said he wanted to do an ultrasound to look at the placenta since it was over the cervix at the last appointment. So, back to the waiting room we went! We finally went in for the ultrasound and Loren thought it was really neat! The tech showed us the baby in 3D and Loren really liked seeing her eyes and mouth and nose and foot!! She thought it was really neat! Kaylynn didn't really care and kept trying to climb up on me! :) The doctor said I have partial placenta previa (where the placenta is partially over the cervix). It usually moves up with the growing uterus, so most likely it won't cause a problem, but something they need to keep an eye on. I also have to limit my activities and can't do anything too strenuous! Other than that, baby looks good! I go back in 4 weeks for the diabetes test..blaa!!

Also, today Loren was the first person (besides me) to feel the baby!! She was so funny, she put her hand on my tummy and felt it then started giggling saying "what is it doing in there?!?" Too cute!! Joe also got to feel her move tonight for the first time! She's getting active in there!
