Loren's Preschool Graduation

Loren officially "graduated" from preschool today! Next year she will start Kindergarten! They had a little ceremony for the kids and they got their "diplomas"! We still have an ice cream social on Friday before we say good-bye to our preschool friends. Loren got a little sad in the car on the way home. She kept saying that she wished school wasn't over. I'm not going to lie...I got a little teary thinking that she won't be attending school there anymore...and also that she's going to start Kindergarten in the fall. I think that's when it really hit me!! Luckily she's VERY excited to start Kindergarten, but is definitely sad to not see her preschool friends every day. And she'll still get to see her teachers because Kaylynn is still going to preschool there 2x a week in the morning and Loren's Kindergarten will be in the afternoon! :)

Here are a few pictures and video from her graduation today:

The kids in her class made this...Loren's is in the far right window (the "yellow" person)

Loren go to lead the class in and she also got to hold the big American flag while they said the Pledge of Allegiance. The nice part of having an "A" last name!!

7 Months of Me...by Eryn

So apparently I'm 7 months old now!! I am SO big now! I can sit up all by myself and can get from a crawling position to sitting! I don't yet crawl, which Mommy says she's happy about. She said my sisters crawled at 6 months and is happy I'm waiting to crawl! I do like to get into the crawling position and rock back and forth before eventually falling! One day I think I'll just decide to go go go!! I like to eat all kinds of foods!! My favorite is squash, but I also like oatmeal, bananas and applesauce. My least favorite are "green" veggies, but I still eat them. Rice cereal is yummy, but it doesn't really agree with my tummy, so Mommy decided not to give me that anymore! I also got to have cheerios for the first time yesterday, it was fun to actually be able to feed myself! My favorite person is Mommy, I get VERY excited and kick my legs like crazy when she walks into the room!! I also enjoy to spend time with Daddy snuggling on the recliner! I still find everyone to be a friend and greet people with a great big happy smile! I also believe that my sisters are around purely to amuse me! I find it hilarious when Kaylynn jumps up and says BOO!! At night I still wake up one time to have a little snack! I also just like to spend one on one time with mommy at night! I do take pretty good naps when I'm able to actually get down for one, but my big sisters keep us so busy that I don't always get the naps I need! I like to take baths, I take them in the "big girl" tub in my seat! Sometimes my sisters and I take a bath together, it's pretty tight in the tub, but it's still fun! My eczema is still there but the soap and lotion Mommy and Daddy put on me helps a little bit. My favorite toys are Mommy's phone, any remote, necklaces, and the Leap Frog table that Mommy brought out for me! I still like my saucer, but I prefer to sit and roll around on the ground.

Caterpillars

Loren and Kaylyn each received a caterpillar at school to bring home and attempt to grow it into a butterfly. Loren named hers Crawly and Kaylynn named hers Elizabeth! We (especially me) became obsessed with the caterpillars! After about a week it formed it's chrysalis (cocoon) at which point we removed it from its vial and put it into a shoe box cut out with saran wrap around it and we waited...and waited...and waited! Then finally Thursday (4/29) Loren's emerged as a butterfly!!!! She was SOO excited (as was I)!!! Then yesterday Kaylynn's emerged!! We had two beautiful painted lady butterflies!! Loren decided to rename hers Flappy now that it was a butterfly, Kaylynn decided to keep hers Elizabeth. We fed them their sugar water and gave each a little orange slice. The girls enjoyed watching their butterflies flap their wings and try to fly in their boxes. But today it was time to release them into the environment. It was neat to watch the butterflies fly out of their boxes and fly away! We were kind of sad to let them go, but know they will be happy being free!!

Here are Crawly and Elizabeth on their first night home.
