Pom's Camp
This year I signed Loren up for a Pom's camp through the park district! It met every day this week from 9am until 11. The kids brought snack and water every day! Loren really enjoyed going to this camp, I would drop her off and she'd walk in all by herself (she felt like such a big girl)! The last day of the camp they stayed until noon then put on a little show with the dances they learned during the week. That day they also had to bring a lunch. Loren has never had to bring a lunch like this anywhere before, so it was her first time. She looked so big carrying her lunch box into the school! After the camp, I looked into her lunch box and realized that she had tried to "save" some things she didn't eat for lunch. She said she might want them later. Some of the things she "saved" were...her capri sun (opened), crackers, some turkey and a carrot. So, you can imagine the disgusting mess I found inside the lunchbox!
The performance they put on was really cute!! They got to use real pom pon's (which Loren thought was VERY cool) and got a shirt to wear! Her teacher also gave each kid a ribbon to wear in their hair, a couple silly bands, candy and a tattoo! She did a great job during the performance (even though another kid took "her" pom pons)! She is already asking to do this camp again next year!!
